London Tube now runs 24 hours at weekends

After months of wrangling with transport unions, the world famous London tube now runs 24 hours a day on Fridays and Saturdays. This applies to the Victoria and Jubilee lines as well as most of the Central and Northern lines. The Piccadilly line follows on December 16. Average services are every 10-20 minutes.Parts of the Metropolitan, Circle, District and Hammersmith and City lines are expected to follow. The changes come about due to increasing night-time usage with a 173% increase since 2000.The other good news is that the Mayor of London has frozen tube fares for the next four years.
