Airlines flying to Lithuania

08/08/2011

Lithuania is attracting more and more tourists every year. The country is easily accessible by ground, sea and air, but most of the tourists prefer to take a flight. Various airline companies offer different flights to Lithuania.

Here are some of them: Aer Lingus, Aerosvit Airlines, AirBaltic, Austrian Airlines, Brussels Airlines, Czech Airlines, Estonian Air, Finnair, LOT Polish Airlines, Lufthansa, Norwegian Air Shuttle, Ryanair, Scandinavian Airlines, Skyways Express, UTair Aviation and Wizz Air offer flights to Vlinius.

Air Malta, Aurela, Bulgaria Air, Nouvelair, Small Planet Airlines, SmartLynx Airlines, Sun d'Or International Airlines offer seasonal charter flights to Vilnius.

Air Baltic and Ryanair offer flights to Kaunas. Air Baltic, Norwegian Air Shuttle, RusLine and Scandinavian Airlines offer flights to Palanga.

The national carrier of Lithuania – LAL (also known as FlyLAL and Lithuanian Airlines) is based in Vilnius and offers flights to almost every large European capital. Vilnius serves as the Latvian carrier Air Baltic's second hub. So, in addition to providing low cost regional flights from Vilnius to Tallinn in Estonia and Riga in Latvia, Air Baltic also connects the Lithuanian capital to Helsinki in Finland, Vienna in Austria, Berlin, Munich and Hamburg in Germany, Copenhagen in Denmark, Oslo in Norway, Dublin in Ireland and London in the UK. You should know that there are no direct flights from USA to Lithuania. The best way to get there is to make a transfer at England of Germany. Even in the summer season you can get a relatively cheap flight without having to make preliminary reservation.
