Hungary

Hungary

Hungary is like no other country in Europe. This statement may sound trite, but after a visit to this country you will think it is true. Hungary is at a crossroads between East and West – it is the best place to visit if you want to taste the old effulgent cultures of Central Europe and something a bit more exotic – the eclecticism of Eastern Europe.

There are five international aiports in Hungary: Budapest-Liszt Ferenc, Debrecen Airport, Sármellék Airport, also called FlyBalaton for its proximity to Lake Balaton, Győr-Pér and Pécs-Pogány.

Adoption between the United States and Hungary is governed by the Hague Adoption Convention. Therefore to adopt from Hungary, you must first be found eligible to adopt by the U.S. Government. The U.S. Government agency responsible for making this determination is the Department of Homeland Security, U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS).

Hungary is a party to the Schengen Agreement. US citizens must have a passport that is valid for the period of intended stay in Hungary. No visa is required for stays of up to 90 days. U.S. citizens do not need a visa for tourist or business travel to this country.
