The building of the Odessa Opera and Ballet Theatre is one of the greatest architectural monuments of Ukraine and one of the most beautiful theaters in the world. All major attractions are concentrated in the center of Odessa city, and we will start our online journey via Odessa from the Greek square. After a total renovation in 2005, the square became more beautiful and comfortable. Here were opened the two fountains and put benches.

Odessa sea port is located on the Black Sea coast in the Gulf of Odessa. It is a major trading port of international importance; it has one of the largest passenger terminals in Europe and is regarded as the main cruise port in Ukraine. Port includes more than 6 harbors, and in the Russian Empire Odessa port was the second of traffic.

Ukraine’s only and world’s oldest mud resort, “Kuyalnik” is situated on the shores of Kuyalnik estuary (13 km from center of Odessa). Especially valuable sulfide-silt mud, brine and mineral water are the main medicinal factors of the resort. Kuyalnik mud is recognized to be a model since it contains a complex of biological substances, macro- and microelements, it is conducive to decreasing the inflammations, stimulates the protective and adaptive reactions, renews the functions of the damaged organs and systems. “Kuyalnik” mineral water is successfully used in healing gastrointestinal tract diseases.

Odessa Cathedral, aka Odessa Transfiguration Church, is the largest Orthodox Church in Odessa, laid down in 1794, consecrated in 1808, destroyed in 1936, re-consecrated after the restoration in 2001, 2002, 2003 and 2010. Orthodox Cathedral is located in the center of Cathedral Square, next to the building of the temple there is a monument to Prince Vorontsov and the fountain-monument in honor of the city water supply.

City Garden in Odessa is located in the heart of the city, on the Deribasovskaya Street. It was founded by the brothers de Ribas in 1803 and completely gratuitously presented to the city. From 2006 to 2007, the City Garden was under restoration. The opening ceremony was held on the Victory Day, May 9. The residents and visitors of Odessa enjoyed fully renovated facades, a new musical fountain and rotunda. Among other innovations there could be mentioned a new substation, equipment for automatic watering and replacement of all communications.

For the celebration of the 100th anniversary of Odessa there was given the official permission by Synod for the construction of Athos town church, and already on May 9, 1893 it was founded the construction of the temple. It had lasted only for three years: 10 January 1896 there was the solemn consecration of the town church. The author of the project of the cathedral was the architect Nikonov. The temple is located near the railway station Odessa.

September 2, 2002, within the celebration of the day of the city, there was opened the monument “To Sailor’s Wife” in Odessa Sea Port. The monument depicts a woman standing on the balcony floor, holding a baby in her arms and gazing into the sea further, waiting for the arrival of the ship. The author of the modest monument was the famous Odessa sculptor Alexander Tokarev.

The history of the origin of Odessa Holy Assumption Monastery is associated with the name of Metropolitan of Kiev and Galicia, Gabriel. In 1814 he founded the bishop's courtyard on the lands, which were donated by the Moldavian nobleman Alexander Teutul. 10 years later this courtyard turned into Odessa Holy Assumption Monastery.

The building of the Odessa City Council (City Duma), the previous place of Stock Exchange, is one of the most beautiful buildings in Odessa. City Council is situated on the Primorsky Boulevard. In front of it there is a small square with a monument to Pushkin and bronze cannon.
