DOMESTIC FLIGHTS

The dimensions of each piece of baggage regarding domestic flights must not exceed 40 x 60 x 100 cm. Maximum weight of each piece regarding domestic flights is 50 kg. All items that exceed the aforementioned rules shall not be shipped as baggage.

CARRY-ON BAGGAGE

Carry-on baggage is placed under the seat in front of passengers or in the overhead baggage bins onto the plane. Here are the carry-on bag limits:

First class passengers are allowed to bring no more than 2 pieces of carry-on baggage that do not exceed 115 cm (45 in) in size and 5 kg in weight.
Business class passengers are allowed to bring only 1 piece of carry-on baggage with them that does not exceed 115 cm (45 in) in size and 5 kg in weight.
Premium economy class passengers are allowed to bring only 1 piece of carry-on baggage with them that does not exceed 115 cm (45 in) in size and 5 kg in weight.
Economy class passengers are allowed to bring only 1 piece of carry-on baggage with them that does not exceed 115 cm (45 in) in size and 5 kg in weight.

Children information

Pets

Only domesticated birds, cats, dogs or other pets are allowed to be shipped as luggage. Short-nosed canines and felines as well as agressive dog breeds are not permitted on board.

Animals that are too big (where maximum volume limits of cage are exceeded), too small (ornamental fish, mice, tortoises) or that may be a hazard or may scare or harm humans (snakes) or wild animals do not count as pets and therefore may not be shipped as luggage.

All live pets, excluding guide dogs, must be supplied with an oxygen supply during transportation and put in a cargo compartment. Please note that China Southern Airlines shall not accept live pets that cannot be placed in the cargo compartment.

Owners are liable for transporting their pets as luggage and therefore should be held responsible for death, injury or ilness of a pet, unless the latter was caused by China Southern Airlines.

The following dog breeds (including hybrids) are classed as agressive: American Staffordshire Terrier, DogoArgentino (Argentine Mastiff), Japanese Tosa, Fila Brazileiros, American Pit Bull (Terrier), Pit Bull Terrier.

All pets traveling in the cargo compartment must be free from abnormal odor, clean, unharmed and in good health. No pregnant pets are shipped.

Passengers are allowed to travel with a hearing dog or guide dog. They must sumbit the required application when booking their ticket.

Please note that pet carriage cages must not exceed a minimum of 5 x 15 x 20 cm and a maximum of 40 x 60 x 100 in size as well as 32 kg in weight. The crate must be well functioning, all accessories and parts, including locks, latches, nuts, etc. must be firm.
