Baggage information

Carry on luggage
Crown Class Passengers - 2 pieces of carry-on baggage is allowed in the cabin on all types of Aircraft except on the Embraer’s where only one piece is allowed, according to the set size, weight and shape.
Economy Class Passengers - 1 piece of carry-on baggage is allowed per person according to the set size, weight and shape.
Small sized handbag / briefcase - 23cm x 41cm x  51cm (depth x height x width)
One suit pack / garment bag - Thickness: 11cm, Width: 60cm, Length (unfolded): 114cm)
Weight not to exceed 7kgs.

Articles such as a coat, an umbrella or walking stick, a small camera or binoculars, a pair of crutches can be carried on-board free of charge.
Laptop computers and small video camera units will be considered equivalent to a briefcase or one overnight bag. Items which exceed these limitations are not permitted into the aircraft cabin.

Checked baggage allowance to all destinations except North America
Crown Class - 1 piece must not exceed 158 cms/62 inches, weight of pieces maximum 30 kgs/64 Lbs.
Economy Class - 1 piece does not exceed 158 cms/62 inches , weight of pieces maximum 20 kgs/44 Lbs.

Wheelchairs and assistive devices will be carried free of charge for handicapped passengers and are not included in free baggage allowance. Limited stowage space in the cabin may require these items to be stowed in the hold and returned to the passenger at their destination in the baggage delivery hall.

What are the items that I cannot carry either as checked baggage or cabin baggage while flying?
Dangerous articles in baggage. all knives, sharp objects or cutting implements of any kind and any length, whether of metal or other material, knitting needles and sporting goods must be packed in checked baggage. They cannot be carried into the passenger cabin in carry-on baggage or on person. If they are carried on-board, these articles will be removed and not returned.

Children information

Travel with infants
Children up to 2 years old (24 months), are not required to have their own seat. You must, however, inform Royal Jordanian that you will be traveling with an infant on your lap. Lap children can only be held by passengers who are at least 18 years of age.
One adult may travel with two infants provided that one infant travels on the adult's lap and the other infant has a child fare ticket and is able to sit upright without assistance or is seated in an approved child restraint (car seat).
You may also choose to purchase a seat for your infant as long as you have the proper child restraint device.
A child up to 2 years old (24 months) traveling on the lap of a passenger is charged 10% of an adult fare plus taxes.
if your child turns 2 on the trip you have to buy a ticket for the return flight.

Meals and entertainment onboard
When making your reservations, you can pre-book seats and choose your children's favorite meal. Puddings and brand baby meals are also available. Our crew will readily help you in preserving and warming infant foods and formulas.
For their entertainment, on-board video games, puzzles, and stickers are offered to your young travelers.

Infants carry on luggage
Infants are allowed baby food and other necessities for the flight, to a maximum weight of 7kgs, in addition to the carry-on allowance of the accompanying adult. Baby buggies may need to be checked in at the gate due to limited stowage in the aircraft cabin space.

Checked baggage allowance to all destinations except North America
Children paying 50% or more of adult fare - Same as adult allowance.
Infants paying 10% of fare:
One checked bag with a max weight 10kgs and a carry-on fully-collapsible child pushchair/stroller or infants carrying basket or infants car seat, which may be carried in the passenger cabin subject to the availability of space.
Flights to/from North America
Children paying 50% or more of adult fare - Same as adult allowance.
Infants paying 10% of fare: One piece of luggage
Maximum Dimensions: 45 linear inches/115 cm (length + width + height)

Pets

Travelling with pets
Pets can travel in the passenger cabin or as checked  baggage.
Pets that meet the following qualifications can travel in the passenger cabin:
- The weight of the animal and crate must not exceed 15 lb/7 kg.
- The flight does not exceed 5 hours.
- The number of pets on each flight must not exceed two: one in the FWD section and the other in the AFT section of the Y/C Compartment.
- The container must not exceed the size of the under-seat stowage area, which is 16 in x 20 in x 10 in/40 cm x 50 cm x 26 cm).
-  The reservation must be arranged at least 48 hours prior to the scheduled flight departure time and an approval is required from RJ's Systems & Procedures Section.

Pet  travel as checked baggage
Pets such as dogs, cats, and other small domestic animals accompanying a passenger on the same flight may be accepted as checked baggage. Pets will be treated as excess baggage and cannot be included in the checked baggage allowance and the following conditions must be met before acceptance on the flight.
- The reservation must be made at least 48 hours prior to the scheduled flight departure time and an approval is required from RJ's Systems & Procedures Section.
- A maximum of 4 AVIH is allowed per aircraft.

Fees
Fee for animal in the passenger cabin: the pet is not considered part of the passenger's free baggage allowance. It will be charged as normal excess baggage for both the pet's weight and the weight of its kennel.

Traveling with Falcons in the Cabin
Falcons may be carried in the cabin on limited occasions, especially in the Gulf area, provided the following is adhered to:
Falcons can be carried in Economy (Y/C) class only.
Falcons must be properly hooded.
Seats blocked for falcons and handlers must be window seats in the AFT areas of Y/C zone.
A chain or rope must be securely attached to the aircraft seat and the leg of each bird.
Valid health certificates and all other entry documents required by country of entry or transit must accompany the bird(s).
Falcons are accepted at the owner's risk.
The reservation must be arranged at least 48 hours prior to the scheduled flight departure time and an approval is required from RJ's Systems & Procedures Section.
One falcon is charged three times the normal excess baggage rate. More than one falcon per handler will require the booking of an adjacent seat.
Maximum of two falcons per seat.
Max number of falcons per aircraft type:
   - A320, A321, EMJ 195 = 10 falcons
   - A310, A340 = 15 falcons
